Food Pantry 10am-12pm & 2pm-4pm

The food pantry is an inclusive, community-focused distribution program run by Have A Gay Day, Inc., a nonprofit based at 1902 Needmore Road, Dayton, OH 45414. It provides essential food assistance to people and families in need across Montgomery County, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or background.

🕐 Hours and Access

  • The pantry is open on Sundays, typically:

    • 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

    • 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM

  • People and households can usually visit once per month for food assistance.

  • It’s one of the few pantries open on Sundays in the county, helping fill gaps when many others are closed.

🍎 What You Can Expect

The pantry offers:

  • Non-perishable food items and staples

  • Personal care products (when available)

  • Pet food support (when available)

There’s also a Little Free Pantry (“Blessing Box”) initiative tied to the organization that’s accessible 24/7 for immediate take-what-you-need, give-what-you-can sharing outside of the location.

🚚 Delivery & Eligibility

  • If someone cannot physically come to the pantry, we also provides food delivery services within the county. ( as we have availability)

  • Eligibility is generally based on household income guidelines set by Ohio Dept. of Jobs and Family Services — if a household income is at or below those levels, it qualifies for pantry assistance.

🌈 How It Feels

This isn’t just about handing out groceries — it’s designed to be a supportive, welcoming space where dignity, inclusion, and compassion are central. Volunteers make an effort to create an environment where people feel seen and valued while accessing support.
