Every year on National Coming Out Day (October 11), Have A Gay Day, Inc. invites the community to join a joyful celebration at its Dayton location (1902 Needmore Road) in honor of self-expression, acceptance, and pride. This vibrant event brings people together for an afternoon of rainbow snacks, fun swag, and community connection in a welcoming, safe space. Attendees can enjoy treats and refreshments, pick up colorful pride stuffs, and share stories with old friends and new.
In addition to the festivities, the event includes bags of community resources that feature information and support from local and national LGBTQ+ partners. These resource bags help connect people with services, support networks, and opportunities for engagement throughout the year. A free raffle takes place every year at the event with amazing local businesses and individuals pitching in towards the event celebration. Whether someone is newly out, coming out, an ally, or simply looking to celebrate identity, this event embodies Have A Gay Day’s mission to create a safe, inclusive space for all.
