A part of the mission of Have A Gay Day is to create safe environments for the LGBT Community and our Allies.  We know there are many great resources for people that are in need of food but we have also found that at times those resources don’t always feel safe.  We have partnered with The Food Bank of Dayton Ohio locally to be a resource for the Community.  We abide by the rules and guidelines of the USDA and Feeding America to offer this resource not only to the LGBT Community but to all those in need.  Thank you for supporting our efforts to make this program possible.

One of the parts of our food pantry is a Pet Food Pantry.  Many food pantries don’t offer pet food.  We feel that there should be more pet food offered to those in need.  Many times before someone will feed themselves they will feed their pets.  Pet food isn’t covered by government programs and we want to do our part to take care of the communities pets where and when we can.  Some animals are therapy pets, friends and companions and if we can create a pantry for humans we want to give back to some of our best friends and families.
