Community Pantry

Our Community Pantry currently serves Montgomery County in Ohio. We offer food, pet food, personal care items, and seasonal items. We are able to do this through donations and in kind gifts and a partnership with The Foodbank in Dayton Ohio. Our location is open the third Tuesday of the month from 10-2pm and the fourth Sunday of the month from 4-7pm. For more details about this program please click here.

Social Media

We started our Facebook page in February of 2012. Since that time we have grown to over 1,250,000 likes on Facebook, and 50,000 followers on Instagram and so much more. From creating memes, celebrating days of visibility, and education and support of the community. We continue to work on our social media platforms and every month we reach between 10-15 million people through our posts. For more details about our social media platforms or rules for posting click here.

Resources

We are continually adding to our online and in print resources. You will find downloadable templates to create your own resources for your community also. We have created resource guides, printed cards, and online portals to many resources. We invite you to look at the resources we have and also add your own resources to our network. Please click here to check out our resource portal.

Our Location

Our location currently is in Moraine Ohio at 2210 Arbor Blvd. We offer a library of books, computers for public use, a resource wall, a lounge area, a kitchen, and free wifi and charging points. We also have a community garden and meeting room for groups available on the ground level. Please check out the details of our location here.

Community Garden

Our community garden was established in 2018. It was put up by volunteers from the local community and volunteers from Have A Gay Day. Financial support for this project came from donors and local organizations. It was up until spring of 2020 when the new owners of our location bulldozed it. We plan on creating gardens in the future and invite you to learn more about our community garden. Please check out info about our garden here.

Community Events

We have hosted many community events in the past and also support and take part in community events. If you're looking for some of the past events we've been a part of or are looking for upcoming events this is where you're looking for. From going to Pride, to supporting TDOR, to having an Asexual Cake event we are always looking for ways to be more active for the community. If you have ideas we even have a place for you to submit them. Please check out the details of our events here.

Our Partnerships

Have A Gay Day has partnered with other organizations and has purchased some memberships with organizations that we felt were beneficial to our organization. You can find current memberships and past memberships that we have had here. This helps us with community resources and also with building a network for our organization and other contacts and programs within our community. For more info click here.

Billboard Campaign

We have continually put up billboards across multiple states in support of the LGBT community. If that message was in support of the community members or support for non-profit organizations we have always done our best to create a campaign every few years for a positive message to the community. From basic messages to deeper messages we have impacted thousands of people and made press nationally for some of these signs. To see past campaigns or find out more click here.

Crisis Relief

In 2019 our area faced the memorial day tornadoes. Instead of simply having a food pantry and giving away what we did normally we spent time with our community and made almost 500 personal care kits to give away to the community. We want to continue doing similar work in the future for other needs and create crisis helps locally in our community and possibly create helps in other communities in need.
